OUR STAFF
Our workshop is taught and run by talented students currently involved in Lexington High School's a cappella program. Many of them attended our workshop in past years, and we're delighted to have them back as teachers this summer! Learn a little more about them in their bios below.
ADAM BERNSTEIN
Newton/Wellesley Program Director
Adam Bernstein is a singer, pianist, music educator, and vocal/instrumental arranger from Lexington, MA. He graduated from Tufts University with a BA in Music, where he sang with the internationally-recognized a cappella group the Beelzebubs, ran varsity track, and studied abroad in Madrid. Now, Adam plays keys in a local band called Sunnydaze, leads an 80-person choir called Rock Voices Newton, and daylights as a private lessons instructor at The Real School of Music. He is a proud alum of the Lexington High School Madrigal Singers and Rock, Paper, Scissors, and couldn’t be more excited to be bringing the workshop to a new audience in Newton and Wellesley this summer!


ARJUN KUMAR
Co-President
Arjun Kumar is a freshman at Tufts University and is thrilled to be returning to the 'Shop as a teacher this summer! At LHS, he was a leader and arranger for Peanut Butter & Jelly, one of LHS’ mixed voice a cappella groups. He was a part of Repertoire Orchestra, Concert Choir, and Madrigal Singers. He was also a member of Singing Valentines and performed in a student-led production! Arjun was a student and TA at the shop and is hyped to return this summer!
YASH MATHUR
Co-President
Yash Mathur is a Freshman at the University of Massachusetts. At LHS, he was in the mixed voice a cappella group Peanut Butter & Jelly where he was the main arranger. He was also a member of the Madrigal Singers, and participated in Singing Valentines his Junior and Senior years. He also sang in Concert Choir. Yash is so excited to return to the shop this summer!

SHUNTAVI SCHUMAN-OLIVIER
Co-President
Shuntavi Schuman-Olivier is a rising freshman. At LHS, she was a leader of the co-ed a cappella group, Noteworthy, involved in the honors choir program through Chamber Singers and Concert Choir, and participated in Singing Valentines. Outside of LHS, she is greatly involved in the singer-songwriter and the a cappella communities through A Cappella Academy. She is super excited to return as a teacher this year!!
IZZY BARON
Teacher
Izzy Baron is a rising freshman at Northwestern University and will be studying Neuroscience and Voice & Opera. While in LHS, Izzy sang in Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, and Madrigal Singers. She was co-leader of the all treble a cappella group Onomatopoeia. She was a TA at the 'Shop in 2022 and is excited to be returning this year as a teacher!

MEDHA JAYENDRAN
Teacher
Medha Jayendran is a rising senior at Lexington High School. She is a member of Madrigal Singers, and has been part of Concert Choir and Chamber Singers. She is also part of one of LHS’s all-treble A Cappella groups, Onomatopoeia, and is a member of Singing Valentines. Outside of school, Medha is an accomplished Carnatic vocalist! Medha is so excited to return to the A Cappella Workshop as a teacher this summer!
EZZIE RUDENKO
Teacher
Ezzie is a rising freshman at SUNY Cortland, where he is pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre, and is very excited to be back for his second summer at the Acapella Workshop. He just graduated LHS where he was a member of the acapella group Noteworthy for three years. Alongside acapella, you can always catch Ezzie in a musical or on streaming with his own original music.


ANAYA JOSHI
Teacher
Anaya Joshi is a rising junior at Lexington High School. She has previously been apart of LHS’ S/A Chorale, Concert Choir, and will be joining the Madrigal Singers in the fall. She is also currently in the co-ed A Cappella group Peanut Butter and Jelly where she sings and beatboxes and is a member of the Singing Valentines. Along with her interest in music, Anaya has been involved in theater from a very young age and really enjoys being apart of the LHS Drama Company as she participates in the Improv Troupe, the yearly productions, and 15+ award winning films. She can’t wait to share her love of A Cappella with students this summer!
AMAN VERMA
Teacher
Aman Verma is a rising junior at Lexington High School. He is part of Peanut Butter & Jelly, Singing Valentines, and he has been in many of the high school theatrical productions. Aman has also been part of Concert Choir, where he served as a section leader and president, and will join the Madrigal Singers in the upcoming year. He was a student and a TA, and he cannot wait to spend another summer at the A Cappella Workshop as a teacher!
